Veronica Pinch - M.S. CCC/SLP
Roni is the owner of Speech W.I.S.E, Inc. and began her company 16 years ago. She has over 21 years of experience in the hospital, nursing home, home heath, as well as the public and private school settings. She is a North Carolina Licensed, ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology graduating Magna Cum Laude from WVU. Roni specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Auditory Processing Disorders in partnership with Audiologist Dr. Jay Lucker.
"Roni" enjoys practicing yoga and most importantly spending time with her husband and their children, Emmi, Owen & Finn.

Angela Wall - M.S. CCC/SLP
Angela Wall obtained her B.S. degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Northern Iowa. She graduated from the University of Alabama with her M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has more than 22 years of experience providing speech and language therapy in private practice, private schools and daycare settings. Angela has experience working with all ages 1-20 however specializes in speech and language services for the preschool population.
Angela has been married to her husband, Stan, for 21 years. They have 3 teenage daughters, a miniature schnauzer, and a labradoodle. Between field hockey games, lacrosse games, and volleyball games, Angela enjoy reading, cross stitching, and time at the beach.

Jennifer Fitzgerald COTA/L
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Ramapo College in New Jersey. Upon moving to North Carolina she attended Cabarrus College of Health Sciences where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. She is an NC licensed and NBCOT certified occupational therapy assistant. She has spent 6 years working in the pediatric and school settings with a focus on sensory processing, motor planning, gross motor and fine motor skills, visual perceptual skills, ocular motor skills; with a passion for executive functioning and fluency training. She has received specialty training in the Therapeutic Listening program. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys taking tap dance class, making jam and spending time with her girls.

Amy Canupp M.S. CCC/SLP
Amy is an ASHA certified and NC licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Communication Disorders and from East Carolina University with a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has over 20 years of experience working with preschool and school-age children. She serves clients with a variety of needs including articulation/phonological delays, receptive and expressive language disorders, auditory processing, Autism Spectrum disorders, and other developmental delays and disorders. Amy is also an Orton-Gillingham Provider with advanced training seeking interventionist certification. Amy is a Charlotte native who happily resides in her hometown with her husband, son, and daughter. In her free time she enjoys reading thriller novels, crafting, baking and spending quiet time in the beautiful NC mountains.

Gina Brun M.S. CCC/SLP
Gina has been an SLP for over 20 years. She is originally from West Virginia, where she went to WVU and received both her bachelor’s of science and master’s of science degrees. She has treated preschool through high school aged children with a variety of diagnoses in numerous settings. She enjoys finding ways to make her clients feel like their therapy sessions are something they “get to do” and not “have to do”. During her free time, Gina likes reading, making jewelry, and spending time with her husband, Josh, their children, Gia and Santino, and their Samoyed, Nico.

Staci Pennybaker Director - M.A. CCC/SLP
Staci attended the University of Pittsburgh for both her undergraduate and graduate education where she received her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology. She is ASHA certified and licensed in NC, and has 11 years of experience working in various pediatric settings with a clients ranging in age from birth-18 years. Staci’s amazing son was born profoundly deaf and he has bilateral cochlear implants- this has changed her as a parent and a therapist, and she is passionate about treating and caring for the whole child and family through direct therapy, providing community referrals and connections, and being a listening ear. Staci and her husband have planted roots in Matthews with their two young children and two dogs. She enjoys exploring outside, exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends

Celeste Davis B.S. COTA/L
Celeste has a bachelor's degree in Health Systems Management from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. During college, she took a class on various professions and immediately knew that Occupational Therapy was the field that she wanted to pursue. After college, she attended Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in Concord, NC, where she graduated with her associates degree from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Post graduation, Celeste worked with the pediatric population because she knew that was the best setting for her. She has experience working in the school system with kids in the areas of fine motor, gross motor, visual motor and with children of all needs including autism, apraxia, developmental delays, SPD, ADHD, and hemiparesis. Celeste has two children of her own and has learned so much more about developmental milestones by being a mom. In her free time, Celeste enjoys spending time with her husband and children, going to church, traveling, going to amusement parks, trying new restaurants, and exercising!

Bethany Kent M.A. CCC/SLP
Bethany graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and completed her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at The University of Kansas. She also holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and her North Carolina license. Bethany has over 20 years of experience serving children of all ages while working in early intervention, private practice, public schools, private schools, preschools, daycares, and on a multidisciplinary evaluation team. She has developed and led a school based preschool drive-in speech program and created a language based curriculum designed to serve preschoolers with speech and language delays. She has experience evaluating and treating a variety of communication disorders but has a special interest and expertise in speech sound disorders. When she is not working, Bethany enjoys all things health and wellness including cardio dance, pickleball, and all forms of exercise, dog walks with her daughters, listening to podcasts, and trying new recipes.

Taylor Placek M.Ed. CCC/SLP
Taylor is an ASHA certified and North Carolina licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s in Communication Disorders and from North Carolina Central University with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has over 15 years of experience working with clients of all ages. She serves clients with a variety of needs in articulation and phonological delays, receptive and expressive language disorders, auditory processing, Autism spectrum disorders and other development delays and disorders. Taylor has a special interest in total language development. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling, and practicing yoga.

Katelin "Katey" Esposito, OTR/L
Katey obtained her OT masters degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University in SC. She is licensed in both NC and SC. Katey has worked as a special education teacher assistant, personal care assistant for children with disabilities, and she began her OT career in a pediatric home health setting (families' homes, preschools, daycares, and community settings). Katey also has extensive experience with ASD, early intervention, primitive reflexes, and sensory integration. She enjoys connecting and building relationships with families to promote success
Katey's BA degree is in Psychology from Monmouth University and her MS in Occupational Therapy is from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Her professional journey is enriched by extensive experience in diverse educational and caregiving roles, including personalized support/assistance for children with disabilities, completing several years as a certified teacher assistant in NY state, and of course pediatric OT. She began her OT career within the home health setting focusing primarily in early intervention, while also growing her leadership role. She is certified in Primitive Reflexes and Childhood Development from utero to age 5 and has extensive experience in fine & gross motor, visual processing & sensory/self-regulation. Katey values a client and family-centered approach, ensuring that each child's unique path to independence and success is nurtured in a supportive, understanding environment. Katye loves reading, spending time with family and her mini aussie, Albus, as well as being a huge Swiftie!

Jessika Tucker M.S. CCC/SLP
Jessika is a Charlotte native who has a passion for building strong, meaningful connections with her clients by making treatment individualized and fun. She earned her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Appalachian State University and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from East Tennessee State University. Her primary professional experiences are with preschool and school age children with diagnoses ranging from Articulation/Speech Sound disorders, Phonological disorders, Receptive/Expressive language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, Social/Pragmatic Disorders, Fluency Disorders & treating Auditory Processing. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, being with friends and family, or playing with one of her (many) pets. She is excited to make a positive impact on your child's communication skills!

Sally Lindsay M.S. CCC/SLP
Sally attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate studies. She attended East Carolina University for Graduate School where she received a Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Sally is ASHA certified and a licensed speech language pathologist in North Carolina. She has 27 years of experience in speech therapy across settings and ages with a special interest and expertise in Autism. In her free time, Sally enjoys spending time with her children, Hil and Ann Marshall. She loves the beach, boating, live music and going out with friends.

Caitlin Schneiderman MA, CCC-SLP
Caitlin earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia and went on to complete her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has experience working with a range of pediatric speech and language disorders, including late language emergence, articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, and social communication challenges.As a mother of two young children, Caitlin understands firsthand the joys and challenges of supporting a child’s development. Outside of the therapy room, Caitlin enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, hiking local trails, exploring nature, and encouraging her children’s curiosity about the world around them.Caitlin is honored to be a part of each child’s communication journey and is passionate about creating a supportive environment for children to find their voice.

Mya Kelley PhD, CCC-SLP
Mya earned her Ph.D. from Clemson University and has been a speech language pathologist for over 20 years. She has worked in settings ranging from pediatric outpatient facilities to public school systems. Mya has a strong background in treating articulation, expressive and receptive language, and pragmatic language disorders. Mya enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, volunteering, and attending musicals, plays, and art exhibitions and events.

Julie Black, Executive Functioning Coach
Julie Black is an educational consultant and executive function specialist with 35 years of experience supporting students across private, public, charter, and homeschool settings. She holds a master’s degree in education, a North Carolina Professional Educator's License in both general and special education, and advanced certifications in Executive Function, Reading, Writing, and Math instruction. Julie has served in leadership roles such as Director of Student Services and Academic Development Center Director, and is passionate about helping students achieve success through consulting and executive function coaching. Outside of work, Julie enjoys photography, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing on the North Carolina Coast.

Dr. Jay R. Lucker
Dr. Jay R. Lucker is a certified and licensed audiologist and speech-language pathologist specializing in auditory processing and language processing disorders. Dr. Lucker is also a Professor and Director of the Five-Year Accelerated Master's Degree Program in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Howard University in Washington DC.
Dr. Lucker is an internationally known recognized expert in auditory processing disorders having numerous publications of various topics related to auditory processing and its disorders. He is also a world renowned invited speaker at professional conferences for a variety of professionals and specialists.
Dr. Lucker is an associate with Speech W.I.S.E. of Charlotte providing interpretations and written reports for clients undergoing auditory processing evaluations. He also provides consultations on issues related to auditory and language processing.
